New Delhi, June 29 -- Delhi has successfully met an all-time high peak power demand of 8,748 MW, shattering the previous record of 8,656 MW.

Highlighting the accomplishment, Delhi's Power Minister Ashish Sood on Monday said, "Today, Delhi made history by successfully meeting an all-time high peak power demand of 8,748 MW, shattering previous records by nearly 100 MW. The previous all-time high was 8,656 MW, recorded on June 19, 2024," Sood added.

He emphasized that the achievement marks a departure from the frequent power outages and grid vulnerabilities during the previous regimes.

Sood added, "The real victory and achievement today isn't just the record-breaking numbers, but the fact that the entire city went about its day seamlessly....
