New Delhi, Sept. 3 -- The Centre and Delhi Government on Thursday stepped up preparations to tackle winter air pollution, with union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav reviewing the Delhi-NCR action plan and Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa announcing a multi-tiered enforcement mechanism involving round-the-clock monitoring at the sub-divisional and ward levels.
Yadav chaired a review meeting on Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities and other measures planned to control air pollution across Delhi-NCR from September 2026 to March 2027.
Sirsa joined the meeting virtually along with environment ministers and senior officials from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
