New Delhi, July 22 -- The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Wednesday shut 16 Metro stations across central Delhi until further orders as authorities ramped up security amid the continuing Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protests and a day after Opposition leaders staged a sit-in near the Prime Minister's residence.
According to the DMRC, entry and exit have been suspended at Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhambha Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh and Shivaji Stadium stations.
However, interchange facilities will continue to remain available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat.
