New Delhi, June 14 -- In a major initiative aimed at strengthening public outreach and making policing more citizen-centric, Delhi Police has issued comprehensive guidelines for the institutionalisation of Thana Divas-Jan Sunwai across all police stations in the national capital.
The move follows directions from Delhi Lieutenant Governor Sardar Taranjit Singh Sandhu, who has consistently emphasised accessible, interactive and public-oriented policing as a means to strengthen trust between citizens and law enforcement agencies.
