New Delhi, July 4 -- As part of the Child Safety Awareness Month being observed from July 1 to 30 under the directions of Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu, the North District Police on Friday organised a child welfare and development programme in coordination with the Department of Women & Child Development, GNCTD, at the Salaam Baalak Trust Child Care Centre in Tis Hazari.
North District DCP Raja Banthia said the initiative was aimed at promoting the overall development, safety, well-being and career guidance of children living in institutional care.
