New Delhi, May 1 -- A Delhi Police head constable has been arrested in connection with a robbery involving Rs 50.37 lakh, officials said.

The accused has been identified as Samay Singh Meena, a 2009-batch constable who was posted in a Delhi Police battalion.

According to police sources, he had previously been booked in at least three criminal cases registered in Delhi's Sarai Rohilla and Chandni Mahal areas, and had even been arrested earlier, yet continued in service. Police said Meena, along with his associates, carried out the robbery on March 31.
