New Delhi, April 5 -- Delhi Police busted a syndicate that was involved in an illegal diversion and sale of government-supplied medicines, recovering stocks worth approximately Rs 70 lakh, an officer said on Sunday.
According to the police, the operation was carried out by the NR-II unit of the Crime Branch, which got their hands on three accused, Neerej Kumar (53), Sushil Kumar (47), and Laxman Mukhia (48), while they were transporting a large consignment of medicines marked "Govt Supply Not For Sale.""The accused were intercepted at Jai Bharat Transport in Tis Hazari on Thursday, where the medicines were being moved in a tempo and a car," they added.
