New Delhi, April 29 -- The Delhi Police Special Cell has busted an alleged international arms trafficking syndicate operating across North India, arresting nine individuals and recovering a large cache of illegal firearms and ammunition following coordinated raids in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

According to Additional Commissioner of Police Pramod Singh Kushwaha, the operation was carried out over a fortnight by the Special Cell's Eastern Range based on sustained intelligence inputs and technical surveillance. He said the network was "highly organised and multi-layered," with linkages across states and indications of international sourcing of weapons.
