Hyderabad, Feb. 27 -- BJP Telangana State President N Ramachander Rao on Friday said that the discharge granted by the Rouse Avenue Court in the Delhi Liquor Policy case should not be construed as proof of innocence of the accused.

Speaking to the media at the BJP State Office in Nampally, Rao said the discharge petitions related to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and BRS leader K Kavitha were part of a purely legal process.

He said the court's verdict was based on technical issues that arose between the CBI and the defence lawyers, and not on the merits of the case.
