New Delhi, July 6 -- Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday reviewed the implementation of various initiatives being undertaken across Delhi as part of the ongoing "Child Protection Month." They directed that all 5,633 schools in the city set up 'Child Protection Committees' by the end of July.
In separate presentations, the Directorate of Education, Child Development Department and Delhi Police, informed the LG and CM that comprehensive measures were being implemented as part of the campaign.
Earlier, Sandhu, in a meeting chaired by him on June 17 had directed that the month of July be observed as Child Protection Month.
