New Delhi, April 9 -- In a crucial step aimed towards strengthening support for migrant workers, the Centre has approved a 100 per cent increase in the allocation of five kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinders under the Migrant Labourer category.

Pursuant to this decision, the Delhi government has doubled the daily availability of 5 kg FTL cylinders from 684 to 1,368, as per the 'Allocation Order' dated April 7. This enhanced allocation is expected to ensure wider access and more equitable distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) amongst the migrant workers in the national capital.
