New Delhi, June 23 -- The Delhi Government has decided to conduct a comprehensive structural audit of 44 flyovers across the city, as a proactive measure to safeguard public safety as the capital's infrastructure ages and traffic volumes have risen significantly.

PWD Minister Parvesh Verma said on Tuesday that the audit is part of a scientific approach to assess the condition of flyovers that have been serving people for more than 15 years, carrying lakhs of commuters on a daily basis.
