New Delhi, Sept. 2 -- The Delhi government is set to designate Data Protection Nodal Officers in all departments and issue detailed standards for handling personal information as it begins work on implementing the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, according to an official document.

The proposed measures were discussed at a workshop on the DPDP Act organised by the Information Technology Department of the Government of NCT of Delhi in consultation with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), at the Delhi Secretariat on Wednesday.
