New Delhi, April 7 -- The Delhi government on Monday conducted the computerized draw of lots for entry-level admissions (Nursery, KG and Class 1) under the EWS, DG and CWSN categories in private unaided recognised schools for the 2026-27 academic session.
The exercise was carried out by the Directorate of Education at the Old Secretariat in the presence of parents and other stakeholders, with officials stating that the process was designed to ensure transparency.
Education Minister Ashish Sood, who was present during the draw, said measures such as Aadhaar-based verification and NIC-supported software were used this year to reduce duplicate and invalid applications.
