New Delhi, June 5 -- Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh on Friday flagged off an app-based electric taxi (e-taxi) service from the Delhi Secretariat, supporting greener urban mobility systems in the national capital.
A fleet of 1000 EV taxis of a Vietnam-based company, Green SM, was launched to ply on the roads of Delhi-NCR. Within one year, the company has plans to expand the service to 10,000 vehicles in Delhi NCR, according to a statement from the state government.
