New Delhi, April 11 -- The Delhi government's Transport department today uploaded the draft Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy 2026-2030, on its website, which proposes a 50 per cent exemption for strong hybrid Electric Vehicles.
As per the draft, all electric cars with ex-showroom price below or equal to Rs 30 lakhs registered in the NCT of Delhi shall be granted 100 per cent exemption (50 per cent exemption on Strong Hybrid EV) from road tax and registration fees till March 31, 2030.
All electric cars with ex-showroom price above Rs 30 lakhs registered in Delhi shall not be granted any exemption from road tax and registration fees, as per the policy draft.
