New Delhi, Feb. 24 -- The Delhi Government has approved a major project to improve traffic flow and strengthen connectivity between rural and urban areas of the national capital.
At a meeting of the Finance and Expenditure Committee held on Tuesday, chaired by the Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, approval was granted for the construction of a two-lane road along both sides of the Najafgarh Drain.
The total cost of the ambitious project is estimated at Rs 453.95 crore.
Gupta said the main objective of the project is to reduce traffic pressure on major roads, cut travel time and fuel consumption, and lower vehicular emissions.
