New Delhi, Aug. 31 -- The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi on Monday published the draft electoral roll following an extensive house-to-house enumeration conducted under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), with nearly 47.7 lakh names excluded from the draft list, according to media reports.
The draft roll covers Delhi's total electorate of 1,45,10,299 voters. During the doorstep verification exercise conducted between June 30 and August 17, forms relating to around 97.5 lakh electors, or 67.18 per cent of the total electorate, were successfully digitised.
The remaining 47.7 lakh electors whose names did not figure in the draft roll have been categorised under the Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate and Others (ASDDO) classifications....
