New Delhi, April 27 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, on Monday, announced that the government will run a special train, taking pilgrims from Delhi to Gujarat for a visit to the Somnath temple.

On April 30, the train will depart from Delhi's Safdarjung Railway Station, carrying around 1300 devotees for a three-day pilgrimage visit, according to an official document from the Chief Minister's office.

Announcing the programme, Gupta said, "This is not merely a journey, but a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with Sanatan traditions, India's cultural ethos and our shared civilisational heritage."According to the officials, the Chief Minister will flag off the train from Delhi, which will arrive at the destination the following day.
