New Delhi, April 4 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday quelled concerns over cooking gas availability in the capital, asserting that LPG supply remains "stable and adequate" as authorities step up action against alleged hoarding and black marketing.
In a statement, Gupta said there was "no shortage of LPG or any other fuel" in Delhi and urged residents not to be misled by rumours.
"There is no need for panic," she said, calling on consumers to avoid crowding distribution centres and to rely on doorstep delivery systems.
According to official data shared by the Chief Minister, 1,11,504 LPG bookings were recorded across the city on April 3, while deliveries stood higher at 1,26,379 cylinders.
