New Delhi, April 12 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday ordered a comprehensive audit of state-run liquor stores, citing suspected irregularities in financial records over the past five years.

The directive covers agencies involved in alcohol sales across the city, including the Delhi Consumer's Cooperative Wholesale Store (DCCWS), Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC), Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation (DSCSC) and Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC).

Officials said discrepancies in accounts over prolonged periods prompted the move, with the Chief Minister calling for stronger monitoring and financial oversight.
