Bengaluru, May 25 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar have been summoned to New Delhi for a high-level closed-door meeting with the Congress leadership, triggering fresh political speculation over Karnataka's leadership equation ahead of the 2028 Assembly elections.

The meeting is scheduled to be held at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's residence and is expected to be attended by senior leader Rahul Gandhi. Party sources indicated that discussions are likely to focus on organisational strategy, governance review, and electoral preparedness in Karnataka.
