New Delhi, Aug. 13 -- The Delhi Legislative Assembly will be open to the public from 5 pm to 8 pm on August 14 and 15 as part of Independence Day celebrations, the Speaker's office said on Thursday.
In a statement, officials said that visitors will not need prior registration but will have to carry a valid identity document and clear security checks before entering the Assembly premises.
The programme will include performances by the Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bands, along with cultural presentations by the Sahitya Kala Parishad. The Vidhan Sabha building will also be illuminated during the evening, it added.
