New Delhi, June 6 -- : Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Saturday said the legacy of tribal leader Birsa Munda highlights the close link between the protection of rights and the preservation of cultural identity, while urging greater recognition of tribal histories and contributions in mainstream narratives.
Speaking at a national seminar on "Birsa Munda, Cultural Renaissance in Tribal India and His Representation in Museums" at the India International Centre, Gupta described Birsa Munda as a symbol of self-respect, social awakening and cultural consciousness.
