Pankaj JainNew Delhi, Feb. 24 -- Delhi Assembly Secretariat on Tuesday asked Delhi Police to enhance security for the Speaker, and also to check at all entry and exit points with increase deployment of personnel at Assembly.
After a bomb threat email targeting the Delhi Legislative Assembly was received on Monday, the Assembly Secretariat has asked Delhi Police to immediately increase security at the premises.
In a letter dated February 24, the Assembly Secretary informed the Commissioner of Police about the threat and termed the matter grave and sensitive.
He requested that security arrangements for the Speaker be strengthened with immediate effect.
