New Delhi, Sept. 4 -- The Delhi government has appointed Sub-Registrars across all 39 sub-divisions for the first time, expanding the number of such offices from 22, in a move Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said would make registration-related services more accessible and governance more transparent.
According to officials from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), the appointments were made through a technology-assisted randomisation process in the presence of the Additional Chief Secretary (Services). Officers were selected from among those meeting prescribed eligibility criteria, including vigilance clearance, adequate remaining service tenure and fitness.
