New Delhi, July 22 -- A Delhi Police officer was injured in an alleged stone-pelting incident at Jantar Mantar on Wednesday, hours after the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) claimed that police had withdrawn security arrangements at the protest site and warned that the force would be responsible if any untoward incident occurred.

According to Delhi Police, Additional Commissioner of Police (Punjabi Bagh) Jai Prakash sustained a head injury while on law and order duty at the protest venue.

"At around 4:30 PM, ACP Jai Prakash, ACP/Punjabi Bagh, sustained an injury to his forehead at Jantar Mantar while performing lawful duty, when the protesters resorted to stone-pelting. One of the stones hit the ACP on his forehead," the police said in a state...
