New Delhi, July 30 -- The Delhi government is set to take another significant step towards making education more accessible, safer and more empowering for girl students with distribution of 3,000 Vidya Vahini bicycles to them on Friday.
"Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will attend a grand programme as the Chief Guest at the Sports Complex in East Vinod Nagar on Friday, where she will distribute bicycles under the 'Vidya Vahini' initiative to Class IX girl students.
"In the first phase, the Chief Minister will hand over 3,000 Vidya Vahini bicycles to girl students. This will be followed by the phased distribution of a total of 1.40 lakh Vidya Vahini bicycles to schoolgirls across Delhi within the next one month. The initiative aims to make the ...
