New Delhi, June 25 -- In a major crackdown on cybercriminal networks involved in digital arrest scams, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday conducted coordinated searches at more than 80 locations across 16 states under Operation Chakra-VI and arrested two accused persons from Chennai and Kolkata.

The accused were identified as B Naresh and Sanjib Saha.

The raids were conducted under Operation Chakra-VI. The CBI constituted 60 special teams and conducted coordinated searches at more than 80 locations across 16 states, namely Punjab, Gujarat, Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam, West Bengal, Manipur, Karnataka and Odisha.
