Mumbai, June 12 -- Mumbai city sweltered at 32 degrees Celsius Friday as a delayed monsoon prolonged the hot and humid conditions across the metropolis, the India Meteorological Department said.
Temperature touched 32degC at 10 AM with humidity at 71%, making it feel like 40degC, weather data showed. Maximum temperature is expected to hover around 33-35degC during the day, while minimum will be around 29-30degC.
IMD forecast partly cloudy skies with a 41% chance of light rain or thundershowers.However, sustained monsoon rainfall is unlikely before June 15, officials said.
