Dharamshala, June 17 -- Under the "Nasha Mukt Himachal Abhiyan" launched by the Himachal Pradesh government, the Dehra Police District has intensified its crackdown on narcotics and destroyed nearly 5,500 naturally grown cannabis plants during special drives conducted in various parts of the district.

Dehra district superintendent of police Mayank Chaudhary told UNI that special operations were carried out on June 9, 15 and 16 by teams from Majheen, Sansarpur Terrace, Dadasiba and Moin police stations.

The drives witnessed active participation from local panchayat representatives, volunteers, prominent citizens and residents.
