Chennai, Sept. 24 -- The Deep Depression over North Andhra Pradesh coast crossed the coast close to southwest of Kalingapatnamin Andhra Pradesh in the wee hours of Thursday, even as Chennai and its Northern and Interior districts and Western Ghat regions will continue to get rains for the next three days.
In an update, Met office said rainfall occurred at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, while dry weather prevailed over Puducherry and Karaikal area.
While there was no large change in maximum temperatures over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during the past 24 hrs, it was above normal by 2-3 Deg C at isolated places over Tamil Nadu and Karaikal area and near normal over the rest of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
