Bhubaneswar, March 17 -- Late Dr. Debendra Pradhan, the patriarch of Odisha's BJP, was remembered on his first death anniversary as a rare leader devoted to public-interest politics rather than aggression, union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on Tuesday.
Paying tribute, Singh described Dr. Pradhan as not just a politician but a straightforward, simple, and honest personality-someone whose words were always matched by action.
"Whatever he said, he did; he never made false promises," the Defence Minister said, adding that Dr. Pradhan was one of the few leaders who advanced by taking all his workers along with him.
