New Delhi, Sept. 17 -- The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will organise a two-day World Tourism Day celebration at Baansera, its bamboo-themed public space along the Yamuna at Sarai Kale Khan, on September 26 and 27, showcasing India's diverse traditions in art, crafts, cuisine, music and culture.
The event is being organised following the directions of Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu to promote the Capital as a sustainable tourism and socio-cultural hub. The celebrations are also aimed at encouraging Delhiites to connect more closely with the Yamuna and experience the riverfront as a public cultural and recreational space.
