Hyderabad, July 30 -- The Drugs Control Administration (DCA), Telangana, seized 113 abortion kits worth Rs 47,672 during a raid on a wholesale medical shop in Nalgonda for allegedly stocking the medicines without valid purchase bills.
Acting on credible information, DCA officials raided Sri Laxmi Medical Agencies at Mahaveer Medical Market, Prakasham Bazar, on July 29. The firm, operated by proprietor P Sudhakar, was found stocking "Safe-T Kit" (MTP Kit), containing Mifepristone and Misoprostol, in violation of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
