Kolkata, May 25 -- Delhi Capitals head coach Hemang Badani said his side paid the price for failing to capitalise on crucial moments during IPL 2026, as Delhi missed out on the playoffs for the fifth straight season despite ending their campaign with a 40-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens on Sunday.

Delhi finished with 14 points from 14 matches and narrowly missed qualification once again. Reflecting on the campaign, Badani said DC repeatedly allowed matches to slip away from winning positions.

"I think it's more the case about winning the moments. There were many games that I genuinely felt that there's a time in the game that the game could go either ways and we didn't seize those moments," Badani said.
