New Delhi, Oct. 18 -- In search for their maiden IPL title win, Delhi Capitals (DC) appointed former Sri Lanka fast bowler Chaminda Vaas as their bowling coach for IPL 2027, adding another high-profile name to a revamped support staff led by Sourav Ganguly as head coach and Yuvraj Singh as assistant and batting coach.
Vaas said he believes in giving bowlers the freedom to develop their own plans while using his experience to help them improve.
"I give a lot of freedom for the bowlers. Being a fast bowler - I played so many years - I always believe that bowlers should come with their plans. If they don't know, then I'm there to help them, give my experience, whatever. the field settings," Vaas said in a video released by DC on Saturday.
