Karimnagar, May 3 -- A daring daylight armed robbery at a jewellery showroom in Karimnagar created panic among residents on Sunday.
According to police, five unidentified miscreants entered the PMJ Jewellery showroom around 1000 hours, posing as customers before drawing weapons and threatening staff.
When employees attempted to resist, the assailants opened fire, injuring three staff members. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals, with some later shifted for advanced treatment. The robbers looted a large quantity of gold ornaments and fled the scene.
Police rushed to the spot, secured the area, and collected evidence with the help of forensic teams. .
