Dharamshala, May 27 -- Under the "Drug-Free Himachal Campaign" launched by the government, the Dehra Police District has intensified its crackdown against narcotics, maintaining a zero-tolerance policy against the consumption and trafficking of heroin, charas and other intoxicating substances.

Dehra district superintendent of police Mayank Chaudhary told UNI that acting on a tip-off, a team of Police Station Rakkar conducted a raid on Tuesday at a house in Nihari Namak area of Kangra district, where a mother and daughter were allegedly involved in the illegal trade of heroin, locally known as "chitta".
