Siliguri, April 30 -- A complaint alleging suspected irregularities in the implementation of the Bharat Dal scheme in the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) region has been taken up by Darjeeling MP Raju Bista, who has written to union Minister Prahlad Joshi seeking a detailed inquiry.
The letter was sent after inputs were reportedly received from residents regarding suspected pilferage involving individuals linked to the GTA. In the communication, it has been stated that around 47,000 metric tonnes of chana were allegedly requisitioned under the Bharat Dal scheme through a letter dated March 5, 2024.
