Hyderabad, Sept. 24 -- CPI National leader K Narayana on Thursday said the High Court verdict on the disqualification of Danam Nagender should not be viewed merely as a setback for an individual politician, but as a lesson for political parties that encourage defections and provide political shelter to defectors.
In a statement, Narayana questioned the BJP's celebration of the verdict, pointing out that the party too had a history of encouraging defections in the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha. He said the BRS was now speaking as an aggrieved party over defections to the Congress, while the Congress remained silent.
