Chennai, June 16 -- The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Units at Kalpakkam, about 70 km from here, successfully hosted a high-level outreach programme on the new Labour Codes today .
The event aimed to create awareness regarding the upcoming regulatory framework governing industrial relations, social security, occupational safety, health, and working conditions, focusing on operational preparedness and capacity building for a smooth transition to the new labour law regime, a PIB release said.
Inaugurating the programme, Ms Sonal Mishra, Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), highlighted the union Government's vision behind consolidating 29 existing Central Labour Laws into four comprehensive codes.
