DAE scientist Suresh Babu assumes charge as BHAVINI CMD

Chennai, April 22 -- P. A. Suresh Babu, Distinguished Scientist of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and Director (HR) from Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) on Wednesday assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director of the Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited (BHAVINI), at Kalpakkam, about 70 km from here.

Suresh Babu's tenure as CMD, BHAVINI will be for three years.

Mr Suresh Babu was responsible for the construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the 500 MW Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) in Kalpakkam, which recently attained criticality, and future Fast Breeder Reactors.
