Chennai, July 4 -- With a view to enhancing the combat readiness of the defence forces, the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), under the chairmanship of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has accorded Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) i.e., in-principle administrative approval to various acquisition proposals at an estimated cost of about Rs 52,000 crore.
The DAC accorded the AoN last evening, accordingt to a defence statement here.
