Hyderabad, April 10 -- In a welcome move for employees of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC), Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has announced a 2.1 per cent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA), raising it from 50.7 per cent to 52.8 per cent.
The revised DA comes into effect from January 1, 2026. Arrears for the past three months will be cleared through supplementary bills and paid in three instalments over the coming months. The hike is expected to place an additional monthly financial burden of Rs 2.82 crore on the RTC.
