Hyderabad, Feb. 8 -- The Cyber Crime Police Station (CCPS), Hyderabad, registered 117 FIRs during January 2026 and arrested 37 persons from seven States in connection with 26 cases, officials said.

According to a police statement on Sunday, the arrests were made during special operations, with the accused found to be involved in 86 cybercrime cases across the country. Their bank accounts showed transactions worth nearly Rs 65 crore.

The modus operandi-wise breakup of cases included investment fraud (15), digital arrest scams (2), social media-related CSAM/POCSO cases (4), job fraud (3), business fraud (1) and gaming fraud (1). An amount of Rs 71,91,371 was successfully refunded to the victims.
