Hyderabad, May 31 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has trapped and arrested a police inspector attached to the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) on charges of demanding and accepting a bribe from a complainant in connection with a cyber fraud case.
According to an ACB press note on Saturday night said, a case of criminal misconduct was registered against Bathula Mahendar, Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime Police Station, TGCSB, Hyderabad.
The accused officer allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 9 lakh from the complainant in return for not involving the complainant's family members and friends in a cyber fraud case registered at the Central Crime Police Station (CCPS), TGCSB, Hyderabad.
