Glasgow, Aug. 2 -- India's impressive boxing campaign at the 2026 Commonwealth Games came to a close with heavyweight Narender Berwal settling for a silver medal after losing to England's Damar Thomas in the men's 90kg final here.

Berwal went down by a unanimous decision after Thomas dominated the bout with superior speed and sharper combinations. The English boxer took the opening round 4-1 before securing the second by a unanimous verdict, leaving the Indian with too much ground to recover in the final round.

Despite landing a few solid punches towards the end of the opening round, Berwal struggled to match Thomas' pace and absorbed several clean blows during the contest.
