New Delhi, June 12 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research's Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI) signed an agreement aimed at improving road assessment, quality control, and maintenance practices across the capital.

Under the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), signed on Wednesday, CSIR-CRRI will provide technical support for functional and structural evaluation of roads, supervise construction quality, and conduct capacity-building programmes for MCD engineers and staff.

The two organisations also signed a Technology Management Agreement to implement ECOFIX, a pothole-repair technology developed by CSIR-CRRI using processed iron and steel slag aggregates.
