Srinagar, May 14 -- The Special Crime Wing Kashmir of the Crime Branch J&K on Thursday conducted house searches in Srinagar and Budgam districts in connection with a fraud case involving alleged land sale scam worth lakhs of rupees, officials said.
The searches were carried out in connection with FIR registered in 2026 under Sections 420, 468 and 120-B RPC following a complaint by a Humhama resident, who alleged that Tariq Ahmad Sofi of Solina, Srinagar, duped him on the pretext of selling land at Narkara in Srinagar.
